Nintendo Wii U Officially Unveiled

Earlier today at the 2012 E3 Expo, Nintendo gave the world its first comprehensive look at their next generation gaming console, the Wii U. The successor to the Wii, which now sports a polished black skin as opposed to the white it wore when first introduced, will be a marked upgrade graphics-wise, now producing 1080p high-definition graphics, and will also sport the new touchscreen GamePad controller. Mounted by a 6.2″ display, the controller comes equipped with built-in speakers, a front-facing camera, microphone and motion controls. As far as gameplay goes, you can expect a solid offering of titles to accompany the arrival of the console, with titles like Super Mario Bros. U, Assassin’s Creed III, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, Mass Effect 3, Ninja Gaiden 3, ZombieU, and more (see video below) slated for release. The Wii U is scheduled to hit retailers this Holiday season. Our only question is, is it too early to start making our Christmas lists?
