More than 40 years after the untimely death of the legendary guitarist, a previously unreleased song by Jimi Hendrix has surfaced. First revealed by BBC Radio 6, the track, entitled “Somewhere,” is the the first single to release from the upcoming project, People, Hell & Angels, a 12-song compilation which includes unreleased material recorded for the follow up to Jimi’s classic Electric Ladyland. We can’t say that Jimi Hendrix was one of the artists we expected to hear new music from in 2013, but with the announcement of not just one, but 12 new songs being released by the legend, damn are we excited.
