I know he’s not the most beloved man in America after his most recent tantrum, but Kanye West still remains one of the biggest artists in the world and his crossover appeal is massive to say the least. Last year, Mr. West gathered up some of the hottest artists in the industry with the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Rihanna and N*E*R*D, and hit the road for the “Glow In The Dark Tour.” The music, the set, the costumes, the animation, and the production were on another level. Now, more than a year later, Kanye will be releasing a 288 page book chronicling one of the greatest concerts, well, ever. The book is complete with photography by Nabil Elderkin (responsible for directing Kanye’s videos for “Paranoid” and “Welcome to Heartbreak”), behind-the-scenes images, conceptual sketches by Ye, stage models and costume designs. There is also an accompanying CD with unreleased live instrumentals for “Jesus Walks”, “Touch the Sky”, “Hey Mama” and more. Another sure-to-be interesting feature is an interview with film director Spike Jonze, who collaborated with West on the tour and is about to release the film adaptation of the classic children’s book, “Where the Wild Things Are.”. The book drops this month and can be purchased through Rizzoli. Read on for a few pictures from the book.
