Not a moment too soon, the NBA season tips off in just a few hours and I couldn’t be more happy about it. First up of the nationally televised games is a potential Eastern Conference Finals match-up with the Boston Celtics facing King James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. It’s going to be interesting to see how the addition of Shaq affects LeBron’s game. I’m a little wary of the situation, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The late game will pit the defending champion LA Lakers against perpetual bottom feeders, the LA Clippers. This match-up became a lot less interesting last night when the news broke that Clippers #1 pick Blake Griffin will miss the season opener and up to six weeks because of a fractured kneecap he suffered in their final preseason game. Either way, this is still a game we’ll be watching to see how the Kobe/Artest experiment works out for the Lakers. It’s gonna be another great season, I can feel it. The NBA, Where Amazing Happens.
I can’t wait. This is going to be a great season.
