Washed Out is a one-man project undertaken by a young Ernest Greene in his Georgia home to make woozy, bass-y pop music. He indicated in an interview with Pitchfork that he’s been making music for years, variously in low-fi or hip hop instrumental veins, but that this current batch (Life of Leisure EP (2009)) is something different. It’s got a hip hop feel (instrumentally), and is also hazy and nostalgic. Here’s the video for a great song, “Feel It All Around.”
